Dear Nikon,
After reading the preview of the Nikon D90 on dpreview.com it seemed that it included an interval timer shooting option (as seen on the D300 and upwards). I was most disappointed to find that this was not the case when I tested the D90 in a shop today. Is it possible that this could be added as a firmware update in the future? Surely it is not so difficult to implement.
Kind regards,
P. K.

i like this idea other than that i am very pleased with my d90
I would be very (!) much interested in a possibility to do interval shooting with my D90. Is it possible that this function will be included in a firmware update?
This would be a great addition to what is already a fantastic camera. I'm really stunned it isn't already included.
Come on nikon.... get on it!
yes please add the interval shooting option to the D90. I was under the impression it had it when I bought the camera and was disappointed to see it had been removed probably for marketing strategy reasons.
I contacted Nikon via email and was informed that there are no announced plans either for interval shooting or for an external intervalometer attachment like they sell for other cameras.
So, I have just ordered the PClix intervalometer and a cord to connect it to the D90. This is the only option I have found to do interval shooting with this camera, much to my disappointment.
i could gather two options..
1. with Mac (OSX leopard): create a workflow using "Automator" with three tasks: Take picture, pause , loop
2. without Mac: lots of remote timers available on ebay for around $45 (They have limitation of 399 pics though)
Can they actually do a firmware update to add this feature? As I thought this was an actual electronic addition.
i am disapointed too, I was already planning a project assuming interval shooting was an option on my D90.
and now i find there is none, and Nikon does not sell a compatible remote to do this, now looking for X brand remotes on ebay 'sigh'
gimme a firmware update please!
Here is the solution. Just attach laptop with this nice free sw DCamCapture
