Dear Nikon,
Over the past 30 years I have spent untold thousands of US dollars on your fine equipment, starting with a Nikkormat camera and some fine prime lenses.
I currently shoot with a D300 and a 5-lens kit, but the camera that travels with me everywhere is a Canon point-and-shoot, as it is small and produces great images.
Yes; I was SO looking forward to the return of RAW to an upscale Nikon point-and-shoot and to replace that Canon! Yes; I have a PC—not a MAC--and use Capture NX2 along with PSCS3, Lightroom 2.0 and a host of other programs.
NO; the P6000 won’t be on my shopping list due to your decision to offer the NRW format. I would gladly change my point-and-shoot to a RAW-capable camera, but I am not willing to alter my workflow, especially after mastering Capture NX and paying for the CNX2 upgrade.
Sincerely,
Dr. M. S.

This is a terrible and stupid thing for Nikon to do...really makes no sense.
