Dear Nikon,
Please update the current line of prime lenses with some new AF-S glass. You can start with the Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF lens.

I second this one. Nikon's prime lens suite sucks. Period. Canon is way ahead of Nikon with fast 1.2 AF primes.

I second this emotion. I'd like to see a simple AF-S prime in the 'normal' range for an APS sensor. The Nikon AF Nikkor 35mm f/2D comes to mind... 52mm equivalent, and could compete nicely with the Sigma 30 mm F1.4 on a size/price basis.
Yes. I'd immediately buy a fast prime AF-S lens.
By Jesus sake, stop AF-S zoom insanity and start making luminous AF-S primes like 50mm f/1.8 and a 20mm f/3.5
Please upgrade your prime lenses. Its pointless to have the latest 24 or 30 plus mega pixels camera body with no adequate lenses to support !!!
I;ve been looking around for a new prime lense, found out that the
50mm f1.8 looks best and is a good price. only proplem is that theres no autofocus.
i agree with everyone, get an update on the 50mm f1.8 to AF-S. they did it with the f1.4 so why not?
